Featuring Aarti Sequeira, author, host of Aarti Party, and lead judge on Guy's Grocery Games, and Eric Wadlund, Executive Chef Toscana Country Club, cookbook author, PBS Great Chefs of America, and multiple award-winning chef.

Cook, taste, laugh, and learn from chefs Aarti Sequeira and Eric Wadlund, making memories that will last a lifetime. This intimate experience includes sipping delicious wine and spending two hours in the kitchen watching, talking and assisting the chefs as they prepare the incredible meal you will enjoy that evening.

Just like any good wine, cheese, or cast-iron skillet, the James Beard Gourmet Four-Course Luncheon, a special feature of Palm Desert Food & Wine, only gets better and better each year. The lineup of James Beard Award–winning authors, Bravo Top Chefs, and celebrity chefs that will be attending the 2018 event hail from California and across the country and include Laura Werlin, one of the country's foremost authorities on cheese and a James Beard Award–winning author of six books on the subject; Richard Blais, chef, restaurateur, James Beard Award–nominated author of Try This at Home and So Good, and podcast host of "Starving for Attention"; Fabio Viviani, acclaimed chef, culinary personality, restaurateur, cookbook author, and winner of Top Chef's Fan Favorite title; and Zac Young, named one of the top 10 pastry chefs in America in 2015, creator of viral dessert sensation The PieCaken, finalist on Bravo's Top Chef: Just Desserts, and pastry director of Craveable Hospitality Group.

Premier Grand Tasting with Zac Young's "Cakery"
10‒11 a.m.

Join Zac Young from 10 to 11 a.m. for an up-close look at how to create Instagram-worthy cakes from scratch. Learn how to ice and frost cake layers for a smooth and seamless look and listen while Zac shares tricks and hacks for decorating scrumptious treats to eat and share on social media. From disco dust to drip cakes, Zac will cover it all!

11 a.m. ‒4 p.m.

The Premier Grand Tasting ticket will also include early entrance to the grand tasting event, special tastings, and an exclusive celebrity chef demonstration with Gail Simmons, author, Food & Wine's special projects director, and judge on Bravo's Top Chef (includes book signing).

Premier Grand Tasting with Valerie Gordon's "Chocolate Decadence"

Join Valerie Gordon, Los Angeles' renowned chocolatier and owner of Valerie Confections, for a sweet start at her inaugural "Chocolate Decadence." From 10 to 11 a.m. you will learn and taste as she whips, pours, and dips decadent chocolate treats.

11 a.m. ‒ 4 p.m.

The Premier Grand Tasting ticket will also include early entrance to the grand tasting event, special tastings, and an exclusive celebrity chef demonstration with Aarti Sequeira, author, host of Aarti Party and lead judge on Guy's Grocery Games (includes book signing).
